We were invited by the Wellington Arts President Lisa Thomas to attend a session on making lanterns to display at the Fong Lees lane parade to be held in Wellington on Friday 26 October 2018. In the school holidays WINS kids made a rainbow serpent which will also feature in this celebration of our Chinese history.
WINS in conjunction with Barnardo’s and PCYC transported 21 children by bus to attend the workshop at the Western Plains Cultural Centre in Dubbo. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their time and showed some real flair with their artistic skills.
